The Guru is Brahma, the Guru is Vishnu, the Guru Deva is Maheswara (Shiva),
The Guru is Verily the Para-Brahman (Supreme Brahman); Salutations to that Guru.
Guru destroys the ignorance of his disciple then he does the work of Rudra (the destroyer Shiva).
At the same time, by removing the illusionary knowledge,
as well as protecting the true knowledge prevailing in the mind of the disciple,
Guru becomes Vishnu (the sustainer).
Removes ignorance, protects knowledge and teaches new things,
due to which the Guru has been named as Brahma.
