tridalaṁ triguṇākāraṁ trintraṁ ca triyāyudhaṁ ।
trijanma pāpasaṁhāram ऎkabilvaṁ śivārpaṇaṁ ॥1॥
Hindi Translation
मैं शिव को बिल्व पत्र अर्पित करता हूं। यह पत्ता सत्व, रज और तम तीन गुणों का प्रतीक है।
इस पत्ते की तीन आँखे सूर्य, चंद्रमा और अग्नि के समान है। यह तीन शस्त्रों की तरह है।
वह पिछले तीन जन्मों के पापों का नाश करने वाला है। मैं बिल्व पत्र से शिव की पूजा करता हूं।
English Translation
I offer Bilva leaves to Shiva. This leaf symbolizes the three gunas Sattva, Raja and Tama.
This leaf is like three eyes: sun, moon and fire. It’s like three guns.
It is the destroyer of the sins of the last three births. I worship Shiva with Bilva leaves.

English Translation
I offer Bilva leaves to Shiva.

English Translation
I offer Bilva leaves to Shiva. this leaf is smooth and flawless.

शिव को एक बिल्व पत्र अर्पण करना यज्ञ और तपस्या से अधिक फल देने वाला है।
English Translation
The offering of Bilva is greater in power than yagnas and sacrifices.

Hindi Translation
बिल्व पत्र माता लक्ष्मी द्वारा उत्पन्न किया गया है एवं,
देवाधिदेव महादेव का अत्यंत प्रिय है,
अतः मैं बिल्व पत्र से शिव की पूजा करता हूं।
English Translation
The Bilva tree was made by Goddess Lakshmi.
Lord Shiva is very attached to the Bilva tree.
I worship Shiva with Bilva leaves.

Hindi Translation
बिल्व पत्र के वृक्ष के दर्शन एवं स्पर्श मात्र से पापों का नाश हो जाता है,
ऐसे पापनाशक बिल्व पत्र से मैं शिव जी की पूजा करता हूँ।
English Translation
The mere sight and touch of the tree of Bilva leaves destroys the sins.

kāśīkṣetranivāsaṁ ca kālabhairavadarśanam ।
prayāghamādhavaṁ dr̥ṣṭvā hyekabilvaṁ śivārpaṇam ॥ 7॥
Hindi Translation
काशी नगरी में रहने, काल भैरव और माधव के मंदिर के दर्शन करने के बाद
मैं शिव को बिल्व का एक पत्र चढ़ाता हूं।
English Translation
I offer one leaf of the bilva to Shiva, after being in the city of Kashi,
beholding Kala Bhairava, and visiting the temple of Madhava.

मूलतो ब्रह्मरूपाय मध्यतो विष्णुरूपिणे ।

agrataḥ śivarūpāya hyekabilvaṁ śivārpaṇam ॥ 8॥

बिल्व पत्र के मूल अर्थात जड़ में ब्रह्मा का वास है,
मध्य भाग में विष्णु विराजमान है
एवं अग्रभाग में स्वयं शिव जी विराजित है
ऐसे बिलपत्र से मैं शिव जी की पूजा करता हूँ।
English Translation
Brahma resides in the root of Bilva Patra.
Vishnu is seated in the central part
And Shiva himself is seated in the foreground.
