Prithviraj Chauhan:

These were the words of Chand Bardai, as he called out to a now blinded, disgraced warrior from Ajmer, Prithviraj Chauhan. Once the ruler of Dhilika [now Delhi], the brave but naïve warrior had failed to sense the deception within the eyes of Muizuddin Muhammad Ghori, who not only defeated him in the Second Battle of Tarain, but also set the stage for almost one and a half century of Turko Afghan imperialism in Bharatvarsha.

Captive and later blinded, Prithviraj Chauhan had resigned himself to his fate, had Chand Bardai not learnt of his fate and rode off to Ghazni. He reminded Prithviraj of his ancestors’ legacy, as well as his secret weapon – The Shabd Bhedi Baan.

Having convinced Muhammad Ghori to see the archery skills of a blind, yet capable Prithviraj, Chand Bardai had set the stage for the ultimate retribution. No sooner had he called out than Prithviraj Chauhan turned and aimed for the Sultan of Ghor’s throat. He died on the spot, and in order to avoid capture, the two friends stabbed each other.

While Prithviraj Chauhan’s mistake of letting Muhammad Ghori go did cost India dear, he was never an incapable warrior, and proved himself to the occasion when called for. A warrior only dies only when he is forgotten, and unless we forget him, Prithviraj Chauhan will still remain alive, in our hearts.

WASH CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Do not wash and dry at high temperatures. High-temperature washes can fade and crack the print, and a high-temperature dryer settings can shrink the garment, as well as damage the print.
To prolong the life of prints, we suggest following the care instructions below:

Washing: Wash inside out with cold water with mild detergent and similar colors using a gentle cycle.

Drying: Tumble dry low, or hang-dry for longest life.

Don’ts: Do not bleach and do not dry clean. No fabric softeners.

Ironing: If ironing is necessary, iron inside-out on the lowest setting. Do not iron printed area.
