Sanskrit Shloka on Karma from Ancient Scriptures
Work done with the least selfish motive frees us to forge another chain for our feet. Lust leads to greed if you always want more, whatever that means. We do not work for ourselves, but for the glory of the Lord, and the results will take care of themselves. Let us do what is good, for it is good to do good, and he who does good work in order to reach Heaven must do it, says the karma yogi. Karma Yoga means continuing to practice karma so that we are associated with Parmeshwara as a result of our spiritual growth. Here a collection of Sanskrit quotes from veda, Upanishads and purana on Karma.
According to God, Krishna and the Bhagavadgita Karma Yoga is the spiritual practice of selfless actions for the benefit of others. According to Phillips, it can be applied to any action, profession, family, or activity in which the yogi works for others. It is the legitimate act to reap rewards instead of manipulating the results of devotion to one’s duty and trying to do the best for a neutral and worthwhile result such as success or failure.
Karma yoga is also called Karma Marga, one of the three spiritual paths in Hinduism and based on yoga actions. Of the three classic paths (moksha) of Hinduism, karma yoga is the path of selfless action. Karma Yoga goes beyond simple daily tasks and extends to the whole of life.
