विश्वाधारं गगनसदृशं मेघवर्णं शुभाङ्गम् ।
लक्ष्मीकान्तं कमलनयनं योगिभिर्ध्यानगम्यं
वन्दे विष्णुं भवभयहरं सर्वलोकैकनाथम् ॥

śāntākāraṁ bhujagaśayanaṁ padmanābhaṁ sureśaṁ
viśvādhāraṁ gaganasadr̥śaṁ meghavarṇaṁ śubhāṅgam।
lakṣmīkāntaṁ kamalanayanaṁ yogibhirdhyānagamyaṁ
vande viṣṇuṁ bhavabhayaharaṁ sarvalokaikanātham॥

English Transcription

shantakaram bhujagashayanam padmanabham suresham
vishvadharam gaganasadrisham meghavarnam shubhangam |
lakshmikantam kamalanayanam yogibhirdhyanaganyam
vande vishnum bhavabhayaharam sarvalokaikanatham ||

English Meaning

(I meditate on Lord Vishnu) who has a calm form (one who fills our inner being with peace);
He is seated (on the bed) of the serpent, (representing the Ananta or Adesh,
the eternal primordial energy or the original nature);
From whose navel a lotus has arisen (which is the source of all creation through Brahmadev);
And who (presiding over the various elements of these creations) is the Lord of the gods,

He who is the basis of the whole universe (in the form of consciousness)
(infinite and infinite) like the sky; With a blue shape like the sky,
He blesses all (which fills our inner being with joy);
