Yatra Naryastu Pujyante Ramante tatra Devata – Manusmiriti Shloka

Manusmriti Shloka 3.56

In ancient Hindu texts and writings, girls and women are placed on a high pedestal. They are worshipped as kanyas (girls), as grih laxmis (wives) and as mothers. Our Vedic scriptures and hymns glorify the dignity of women and the (yatra naryastu pujyante ramante tatra devata) in which Where women are honoured, there the deities are pleased.

In fact, according to this theory, there is a sharp contrast between the glorious treatment of girls and women.

Manu quotes the sloka “yatra naryastu pujyante ramante tatra devata
yatraitastu na pujyante sarvastatraphala kriyah,” which means that honour and divinity of a woman will flourish and Wherever a woman worships or lives, there is a God, our sages say.

  1. The Non Smoker says:

Manu Smriti is not what Anti-Hindu disinformation factory propagates, as it is only cruel to so-called “lower caste” people, some verses:

🔹Manu Smriti 8.337-338: “If one conducts a theft willingly and in full senses knowing the implications, he should be penalized eight times that of the ordinary thief if he is a Sudra. The penalty should be 16 times if he is a Vaishya, 32 times if he is a Kshatriya and 64 times if he is a Brahmin. The punishment will be 100 times or 128 times.

🔹Manu Smriti 4.141: “He shall not insult those who have redundant limbs, or those who are deficient in limbs, or those destitute of learning, or those who are far advanced in age, or those destitute of beauty or wealth, or those of low birth.”

🔹Manu Smriti 2.238: “One imbued with faith may acquire excellent learning even from a lowly person.”

🔹Manu Smriti 2.157: “As the elephant made of wood, as the deer made of leather, so the non-learning Brahman – these three merely bear their names.”

🔹Manu Smriti 10.65: “The Sudra attains the position of the Brāhmaṇa and the Brahma sinks of the position of the Sudra.”

🔹Manu Smriti 4.13: “According to the three modes of material nature and the work associated with the term, the four divisions of human society are created by Me.”
